This thesis investigates the effect of dodecyl-trimethoxy silane (WD-10)and 3-Chloropropyl triethoxy silane(WD-30) on flotation behavior of aluminum-silicate minerals using dodecylamine(DDA) as collector by flotation test.Interaction parameter of DDA and silane,the flotation active component of DDA and silane were investigated by flotation solution chemistry,FI-IR,and surface tension.Interaction mechanisms between flotation agents and minerals had been studied by the measurements of zeta potential,the adsorption of flotation agents as well as Fourier transaction infrared.Main contents and results are obtained as following:The phase of WD-10 and WD-30 were determained by solution pH. When pH=4,silane has prestissimo hydrolyzation speed and slow polymerize speed and most silane hydrolyzed to silicon alcohol.In alkaline medium silane polymerized to heavy polymer,due to silane has prestissimo hydrolyzation and polymerize speed.Surface tension results indicated that WD-10 and WD-30 reduced the surface tension of DDA solution and intensify collecting power of DDA.Kaolinite and diaspore has poor flotability using WD-10 or WD-30 as a collector.WD-10 and WD-30 can increase the kaolinite recovery using DDA as a collector.The results of zeta potential,the adsorption of flotation reagents as well as Fourier transaction infrared indicated that the adsorption of DDA on kaolinite is independent of WD-10 and WD-30 and that WD-10 and WD-30 exhibits hydrogen bond adsorption on kaolinite surface using DDA as a collector.Flotation recovery of kaolinite is in the order of DDA+WD-10>WD-10+DDA>DDA,due to adsorptice capacity of WD-10 on kaolinite is in the order of DDA+WD-10>WD-10+DDA.The added order of DDA and WD-30 didn't influence the recovery of kaolinite.Diaspore shows a bad flotation response in acidic pH region using DDA+WD-10 as a colletor,because WD-10 can reduce the adsorption of DDA on diaspore in acidic midium and no WD-10 adsorbed on diaspore. In alkaline pH region,due to WD-10 polymerized to heavy polymer, WD-10 didn't influence the recovery of diaspore.WD-30 can increase the recovery of diaspore using DDA as a collector,due to the stronger collector power of DDA+WD-30.The mechanism analysis indicates that adsorption of DDA on diaspore is independent of WD-30 and no WD-30 adsorbed on diaspore. |
