In order to exploit deep oil and gas resources, ease the shortage of domestic energy, and enhance China-made drilling rig's competitiveness in the international market, it is imminent to develop high-performance ultra-deep drilling rig with independent intellectual property rights. Rotary table drive system being the power system to drive drill-strings, its performance directly impacts on the productivity and life expectancy of ultra-deep drilling rig. In this article, based on the finite element method and virtual prototype technology, the torsional vibration characteristics of an ultra-deep drilling rig's rotary table drive system are studied. The start-up performance, anti-jamming performance and braking performance are also analyzed. This thesis's research contents and results are as follows:The dynamic parameters of the complex key components in the rotary table drive system are effectively identified. According to the transmission principle of the rotary table drive system and the structural features of its components, the three-dimensional geometric model of the rotary table drive system is established in the Pro/E software. Through linear static analysis and normal mode analysis, the elastic pin coupling's torsional stiffness is calculated respectively. Using linear static analysis, the torsional stiffness coefficients of two gear pairs in the gear box and the bevel gear pair in the rotary table are computed. And the curves of these three gear pairs'torsional stiffness according to the input torque are plotted. Based on the torsional stiffness coefficients which have been worked out above, the torsional damping coefficients of corresponding components are estimated. With comprehensive considering actual situations, estimated values are revised.The dynamic characteristics of the rotary table drive system are analyzed. On the basis of the torsional stiffness/damping coefficients derived above, the parameterized dynamic model of the rotary table drive system is established. Respectively aimed at high-speed and low-speed gear transmission conditions of the rotary table drive system, the vibration mode analysis is accomplished, and the frequency response characteristic of the drill pipe's angular velocity according to the motor's output torque is also analyzed. Through the dynamic simulation of the rotary table drive system, its start-up performance, anti-jamming performance and braking performance are analyzed and can meet the requirements in actual situations.The research work of this thesis has definite instructive significance for the future development of the ultra-deep drilling rig's rotary table drive system.
