The super short-quarter cotton that is cultivated successfully is of great significance to mitigate the contend of food and cotton,increase in the total production of cotton and promote farmer's income. The topic that combines theory and practice aims at systematic research on testing the super short-quarter cotton fiber performanc, low-twist rotor spinning process and denim adaptability,and inquires into the key technologies on low-twist rotor spinning yarn and the extending application of denim field.By comparing the performance difference on the super short-quarter cotton fiber and American cotton fiber to show the performance of the super short-quarter cotton fiber, the experimental results show such as good fiber maturity,moderate strength,length is shorter,length is shorter,good length uniformity, fiber is coarse staple,the harmful flaws are less and impurities are slightly more, the number of natural convolution is few,low sugar content,all of them can meet requirements of cotton fiber in textile industry. Experimental identification grade is 427.The pure spinning method is researched by starting with the fiber performence,carding process and rotor spinning process are optimized through orthogonal test in the paper.then we can makes the following conclusions: 1)carding process. Change the ratio of Card cylinder and Iincker-in,the guage of cylinder and flat, the doffer speed,which have some impacts on impurities of slivers significantly affect on the short fiber content and are the most notable to number of neps,the optimization process is the ratio of Card cylinder and lincker-in is 1.83,the guage of cylinder and flat is 0.18mm,0.15mm,0.15mm,0.15mm,0.18mm,the doffer speed is 19.0/r min-1.2)rotor spinning process. The guage of feeding roller and fleed plate,rotor speed and combing roller have somes impacts on neps,strongth average and twist.The analysis on weaving characteristics of denim to determine denim weaving process of the super short-quarter cotton fiber low-twist yarn,process of weaving is successful,face flaws are fewer,so the low-twist rotor spinning yarn has weavability.We contrast the stretch proofing and appearance stability,heat and moisture comfort and contact comfort of two cotton fabrics,we can see through the analysis of experimental results such as breaking strength,bursting strength, wear-resistance of the super short-quarter cotton denim are less than medium cotton denim,anti-pill tendency and stiffness of the super short-quarter cotton denim are slightly better than medium cotton denim,its thermal conductivity,heat retention,capillary effect and permeability are better than medium cotton denim, instantaneous transfering heat of the medium cotton denim is more than the super short-quarter cotton denim,the super short-quarter cotton denim is slightly thick,rough and big compresseion work,but it has worse crease recovery and handing.as a whole,the stretch proofing and appearance retention of the super short-quarter cotton denim aren't better than medium cotton denim, contact comfort is almost, but heat and moisture comfort of the super short-quarter cotton denim is better than medium cotton denim.
