The karst mountain areas Southwest China are mainly distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi taking Guizhou Plateau as the center.According to the documents of National Development and Reform Commission that notice to do a good job on guidance of rocky desertification integrated treatment in the mountain areas of south-west China(Region Economy Department,National Development and Reform Commission No.1529,2004),and notice of the General Office,the National Development and Reform Commission on drawing up planning outline of rocky desertification integated treatment in karst area(Rural Economy Department,National Development and Reform Commission No.1050,2006),and the notice on printing and distributing planning outline of the integrated treatment of rocky desertification issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and other six ministries(Rural Economy Department,National Development and Reform Commission No.749,2008),and planning outline of rocky desertificationintegrated treatment in karst area(2006~2015)and so on,to speed up the integrated treatment of rocky desertification,55 counties(cities or districts)of Guizhou Province was chosen by the state to carry out treatment as trial with special funds in the"Eleventh Five-Year"period.The purpose is,taking sub-watershed as a unit of the integrated treatment,to explore the rocky desertification treatment models in different conditions and carry out comprehensive management of land and rehabilitation in different areas,different types of ecological economy and rocky desertification in different levels.so the integrated treatment of rocky desertification is not only a prominent ecology-issues and economic issues,but also a key political issue.It is the need to implement the scientific concept of development,speed up the construction of ecological civilization and realize historic leap of economic and social development in Guizhou Province.In this study,advanced models and cutting-edge technology of comprehensive management of karst rocky desertification internal and abroad was summarized. Based on the karst development features of and ecological environment differences in Guizhou Province,the typical areas of karst development and the ecological environment structure were selected to study,which are Huajiang demonstration site in Guanling-Zhenfeng reflecting dry and hot karst plateau and gorge entironment, Yachi demonstration site in Bijie reflecting temperate and cold karst plateau hilly entironment with dry spring and humid summer,Hongfenghu demonstration site in Qingzhen reflecting karst hilly basin entironment with temperate moderate spring and humid summer,taking 5m resolution Spot5 applications of remote sensing images, topographic maps of 1:1 million,1:1 million,land-use maps,hydro-geological map 1:5 million as the basic maps,the rocky desertification of these area was worked out. In accordance with the rocky desertification levels and the eco-environmental problems,the relationship between land use and rocky desertification and their relativity were studied.At last,measures were put forward.Combination of the demonstration area of rocky desertification and land use correlation analysis, comparative analysis of land-use and engineering design in different context,the conclusions are as following:(1)In this paper,with comparative analysis of uniformity complexity and dominance to land use in three demonstration aeras,it is proved that the land use of the three demonstration areas are different.And it revealed that the complexity of land-use in Huajiang demonstration area is the largest and in Yachi is the least;land use dominance in Yachi demonstration area is largest and in Huajiang demonstration area is the least;the uniformity of Huajiang demonstration area is of the largest and the Yachi demonstration area is the least.(2)Different distribution of land use and land-use type is one of the various factors lead to rocky desertification.Shrub,other type of forest,low-coverage grassland,mountainous dry land and unused land take up larger proportion in the rocky desertification land.The difference of rocky desertification is Obvious.Largest incidence of slight rocky desertification is in Yachi demonstration aera,Largest incidence of moderate rocky desertification is in Hongfenghu demonstration aera,, Largest incidence of strong rocky desertification is in Huajiang demonstration area. For the rocky desertification rate,Huajiang demonstration area is of the most, followed by Hongfenghu demonstration area and Yachi demonstration area.(3)The extent and the incidence of rocky desertification in three demonstration areas are different.And the difference and relevance between the land-use types and rocky desertification incidence are obvious;It is showed that the other forest type is with the highest incidence in Huajiang demonstration area,followed by the garden and other grassland,shrub is with the highest incidence in Yachi demonstration area, followed by dry land and other grassland and the other forest type is with the highest incidence in Hongfenghu demonstration area,followed by dry land and other grasslands.Correlation is as following:light rocky desertification mainly occurred in shrub land,forest land,as well as other slope land;moderate rocky desertification occurred mainly in the other type of grassland and slope cultivated land;Strong rocky desertification in the demonstration areas shows a strong consistency,which occurred mainly where there are no vegetation or soil.(4)Design of Rocky desertification control will be reflected in the adjustment of land use ultimately,so this paper gaved out the proposals on land use of different landscapes and ecological niche in Guizhou Province.It is proved that the land-use adjustment patterns adopted is different in different landscapes and ecological niche in Guizhou Province.
