Today intelligent Polymer has been a hot spot of the world,whether academia or industry are positive research and develop on this area.The shape memory polyurethane was hailed as "The most research and the value smart polymers" with the Even Batle Technology institute of the largest in U.S.A.Shape memory polyurethane has dual nature plastic and rubber.The original polyurethane has shape memory by modified which required that polymer physics and polymer synthesis and modification technology.In this paper,the anionic waterborne polyurethane was obtained from toluene diisocyanate(TDI),polypropylene glycol(PPG),and dimethlolpropionic acid(DMPA),following an emulsification process.The reaction condition was determined and research the molar ratio of -NCO /-OH,temperature and the chain-extension time on the properties of emulsion and coating.Using the FTIR,DSC,TG,and WAXD,the morphological structures were tested.The fabrics were coated with the prepared coating agents by the use of two Baptist rolling method,and the shape memory properties were examined with crease-back tests.The results showed that:all of the hard and soft segment of the system SMPU are a non-stereotypical,the textile,which were finished with the prepared waterborne polyurethane shape memory coating agent,have the better shape memory function and the ability to maintain crease,after repeated soaping,they still have many good shape memory performance and the ability to maintain crease.
