Naphthalene derivatives as plant growth regulator have lots of physiological role for plant,for instance promoting metabolism and photosynthesis,accelerating cell division,increasing fruits,preventing fruit drop,changing the proportion of male and female flower etc;and they have the characteristics of high efficiency,low toxicity and safety.Therefore,studying on the synthesis of naphthalene derivatives as growth regulator instead of traditional increase method with pesticide and fertilizer has an important practical and social significance.In this article,the synthesis technology of a-naphthaleneacitic acid,methylα-naphthylacetate and a-naphthoxyacetic acid were studied;the products were analyzed and characterized by IR and 1HNMR;and discussed the product yield affected by single-factor.The results showed that:the maximum yield ofα-naphthaleneacitic acid was 38.1%,when naphthalene and chloroacetic aicd were reactants with aluminium powder as catalyst,mole ratio of naphthalene and chloroacetic aicd was 1.5,the reaction temperature was 180~210℃,the reaction time was 20h,the sorts of catalyst was 1.6%of total mass.Methylα-naphthylacetate was synthesized by normal esterification method and microwave method withα-naphthaleneacitic acid,methanol as reactants and H2SO4 as catalyst.The boiling point,density and refractive index of product was 188190℃/3.3kPa, 1.139g/mL,N20d=1.5983;193~95℃/4.8kPa,1.144 g/mL,N20D=1.5932,respectively. Compare with normal esterification,the yield of methylα-naphthylacetate was higher with microwave method and the reaction time was shortened from 1.5h to 250S.Using microwave,a-naphthoxyacetic acid was synthesized withα-naphthol and chloroacetic aicd as reactants under NaOH conditions.The optimum technology conditions was:molar ratio of chloroacetic aicd and naphthol was 3:1,the mixed solution B(10 mL 20%NaOH and chloroacetic aicd)was adding with dropwise within 4min,the irradiation time was 4min.The maximum yield ofα-naphthoxyacetic acid was 84.9%under the optimum conditions.
