In order to improve the ability of the weapons and equipment to survive and penetration capability ,the world's military powers have launched a study on stealth technology. At present, there are mainly two approaches which realized stealth technology: First, through the design to reduce radar reflection cross-section; Second, the application of radar absorbing materials. With the design objectives are tactical and technical indicators and environmental conditions, it is difficult to achieve the desired design, the study of absorbing materials to bear the brunt of stealth technology has become a hot research and focus.In this paper, under the guidance of computer-aided design. We have prepared two kinds absorbing materials sample:multi-layer structural materials and coating materials. The samples have good absorbing property at 2-18GHz. On the other hand, we have studied the absorption characteristics and mechanical properties of these samples before and after space environment simulation. Main results include:1 The absorbing properties of composite materials has been a downward trend afterthe space environment simulation. High-energy proton irradiation, high-energy electron irradiation and the micro-dust collision have smaller affection,while alternating high and low temperature changes have larger affection.2 The properties of materials are affected to varying degree after space environment simulation: there is a downward trend in the whole rada frequency band. The affections are different with the different environments and different absorption band range.3 The absorbing properties of multi-layer absorbing materials have vary with changes of the contents of absorbing agents and the thickness of the absorbing layer. The material (includes 70 wt%CIP, 5wt% CNTs, 60wt% CIP) has -5dB at 3.52-18GHz, -10dB at 10-18GHz.4 Different absorbing agents composite applications can be broadened band. The main factor influences the absorbing property of the material is the effect of transmitted wave and reflected wave.
