Research On Properties And Product Weaving Of The PTT Memory Fabrics

PTT memory fabric is a kind of fabrics which can memory its primary shape. The fabrics can maintain independence the random shape and present the random crease without external force. And then the fabrics can crease recovery completely by strokes with the hand, it has the permanence of maintaining the shape.This paper studies on the processing technology of memory fabric aiming at immature technology, low yield and other status. The results show that best configurations of some processes are: the twist of PTT yarn is 800T/M, the setting temperature is 155℃, the single warp yarn tension is 5~7g and the weaving tension is about 80kg. So, 12 fabrics are designed with different specification to study on the properties of PTT memory fabrics.The paper researches on the plasticity of PTT memory fabric by several test methods, such as the blotting of hand, the crease recovery of the fabric, and modeling to evaluate its plasticity. The fifth level of modeling expresses relatively high plasticity, which has the best shape-preserved without external force.And the paper uses several test methods to study the memory property of PTT memory fabric, such as the recovery the blotting of hand or force, and memory degree to evaluate its memory property. The memory degree of PTT memory fabric is four-five levels and it is about one level higher than half memory and imitating memory fabric. A little force just like 150-450gf/cm2 will let the shape of the PTT memory fabric recovery.By research on bending: the memory fabric's bending rigidity is increased with warp threads increasing, fabric stiffness is enhancement. From the KES test: PTT memory fabric can keep its style, feel smoothly and good keeping-type.Clothing made from PTT fabrics is easy care. memory-type clothing will be one of the market mainstream fashion products.
