Within the field of supramolecular inorganic chemistry, self-assembly process of functional systems has received considerable attention. The application of metal-ligand interactions has generated a variety of coordination complexes with special functional properties such as electric, magnetic, catalytic and optical properties.Polyoxometalates (POMs) are regarded as one of the best building blocks for the fabrication of functional hybrid materials. Based on molecular design and assembly, much interest at present is focused on construction of polyoxometalate-based complexes via self-assembly of predesigned ligands with appropriate metal ions.(1) Two organic-inorganic hybrid compounds, [FeC14H20N]4[SiMo12O40] (1) and [FeC14H20N]3[PMo12O40] (2), have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric (TG) technique based on Keggin polyoxometalates units.(2) We have synthesized two coordination complexes,[Ag4L12]·[SiMo12O40]·4CH3CN (3) and [Ag3L14][PW12O40]·1.5CH3OH (4), from the ligand L1 (N,N'-bis(furan-2-ylmethylene)hydrazine) with AgNO3 and polyoxoanions of Keggin type. These compounds are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. IR spectroscopy, UV spectroscopy and thermal gravimetric (TG) technique.(3) Two compounds [C12H16N4]2 [SiMo12O40]·CH3OH·CH3CN (5) and C12H14N4 (6) were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis from H4SiMo12, Cu(NO3)2 and Schiff base ligand L2,...
