Due to its high intensity , small focal spot and small heating affected area, pulse YAG laser beam is advantageous in tiny metallic material working and processing. On the paper, we do a lot of theory analysis and experiments and solve parts of questions. Based on the physical principles of laser -beam interactions with materials, the heating mode of multilayer is simplified and various of parameters affecting welding quality are analysed. In the experiment of laser welding, the laser powder-caldding technique is improved and optimum cladding layer thickness is established, the results prove the correctness of the theory analysis. In the experiment, we improved the laser cladding technology and simplified the process of laser welding, which will accelerate the automated laser welding process.
