Scintillation materials is an optical function materials which can emit visible light after the absorption of high-energy photon, in recent years, it has been widely used in many field, such as high-energy physics, nuclear physics, astrophysics, geophysics, industrial inspection, medical imaging and security testing etc. Scintillation crystal is scintillator which has been studied and used widely, such as CeF3, PbWO4 and so on. Scintillation glass with a number of advantages, such as the simple Preparation, the chemical composition is easy to adjusted, Easy to achieve large-size, good stability, be able to pull into fiber,etc. Therefore, it has become one of the hot materials for many countries in the world. In my thesis, through optimizing Tb3+ doped silicate nano scintillation glasss matrix, sensitizer, brightening agent components ,we improve the melting temperature, holding time and the atmosphere, and change the heat treatment processing temperature to generate BaF2 nano-crystal in the glass. Nano-crystal has a better rare earth soluble, and a lower phonon energy, so that luminescent property of Tb3+doped silicate nano scintillation glasss has been noticeably improved.
