Along with the development of science and technology and industrial manufacturing, for human production and manufacturing of material civilization plays a great role,because of material science and technology development, the traditional processing method can't satisfy the requirement of modern products. Especially surface removal processing of difficult-to-processing materials which are very hard, super, high toughness .The development of mechanical manufacturing has been baffled.According to the technical problem, a breakthrough in the traditional processing method Special processing advented, this process generally use electrical,magnetic,sound,light,chemical energy or their combination by the workpiece machining parts, to realize the material properties, deformation, change or plating of non-traditional machining method, special machining involves various disciplines involved in the cross fusion, not only develop and compensate traditional technology , and in the application scope, the machining quality, productivity and economic aspects, especially in high and new technology, pointed,which produce larger role.Their great potential development and the vast application to the world.This paper studies the nc processing of arc cutting short membership special processing category. The processing belong to our original technology, with its scientific, economic, and high efficiency, low energy consumption, low noise pollution, save raw material, technical characteristics, etc. As a kind of extremely potential market, having a good development prospect, efficient and practical processing technology of hardfaced material .This paper designing, author assume this topic of tool electrode loss and compensation in a short arc cutting processing, but this technology is not mature yet, further research is still at the stage. So Analysis and discussion of the paper reference edm mechanism, combining with short arc process do the orthogonal and single factor experiment, and analysis and handle data,with these to prove processing parameters and tool material loss to tools ratio relative through the conclusion ,guide the technology for deepening research in future. Finally established a set of perfect short arc processing theory system.
