In this paper, a series of alkaline earth metal's compounds, by using magnesium(II), calcium(II), strontium(II) and barium(II) as the center ion, phen and isophthalic acid or terephthalic acid as the ligands, were synthesized. And they are [Mg(H2O)2(phen) (Hip)2](phen)(1), [Mg(H2O)4phen](tp)(2), [Mg(dipic)(H2O)3]2H2O (3), [Ca(NO3)(phen)2 (H2O)](NO3)(5), [Sr2(phen)2(Hip)4]n(6), [Sr2(Htp)4(phen)2H2O]n (7), [Ba(phen)2(H2tp)2 (H2O)4]n(8), [Ba2(phen)4 (tp)2]n(9) (The crystal of complex 4 is twinning.) (phen =1,10- phenanthroline, H2ip =1,3- benzene dicarboxylic acid,H2tp = 1,4-benzene dicarboxylic acid, H2dipic=2,6- pyridine carboxylic acid)。They were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, TG, and X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. The molecular geometries of complexes are different, complexes 1-5 are the zero-dimensional structure, complexes 6,7 and 9 are two-dimensional layered structure and structure of complex 8 is three-dimensional. While their fluorescent properties were determined at room temperature, the results showed that the series of complexes could emit strong blue fluorescenceIt is worth mentioning is that the synthesis of complex 1 of the crystal for C2, as chiral space group, it can be assumed it has a certain degree of non-linear optical property. After testing the nonlinear optical properties (SHG) found that its intensity under the same conditions as KDP 1.5 times that of the nonlinear optical crystal materials in certain applications. |
