Facing serious environmental pollution and ecological damage, formed a new cross-disciplinary—Environmental mineralogy, because of its unique structural features and basic performance, clay minerals occupies an important seat in environmental research, has been widely used in environmental governance. As an important member of the Clay minerals family, bentonite is one of the world wide distributions and use of a wide range of non-metallic mineral, China is the second largest bentonite base, bentonite resources in Xinjiang accounted for 14.1 percent nationwide. In this paper, we use the Infrared spectroscopy, Thermal analysis, Electron microscope analysis, X-ray analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis in structural analysis of the bentonite from Balikun, the results showed that bentonite from Balikun is texture, and good quality, process performance; Secondly, through the experimental analysis of the Balikun bentonite in urban sewage treatment, the results showed that: at a temperature of 60℃, PH = 6, 200 head, 1.0g Balikun bentonite 2h when bentonite adsorption, 200ml water in the city life to achieve the best COD removal rate, which the 4 # sample of the best COD removal rate; by the end of the process of Balikun bentonite performance parameters and the current industrial applications of bentonite relative indicators, indicating that the original soil Barkol bentonite can be applied to drilling mud, foundry industry, metallurgical pellet, but in the fine ceramics and building ceramics bentonite to be used for further study. The results of this study was reasonable for the development and application of bentonite Barkol a certain reference value. |
