Urban Ecological Security Evaluation Of Xining

With the global ecological environmental questions extruding day by day, ecologic security is heightened the coequal stature as traditional security such as politics security,military security,economic security,etc.Ecological security is a security system which consists of biological security,eco-environment security,etc, aiming at sustainable development in human society,harmony and unification among economy,society and ecology.Urban ecological society is constituted by natural environment and man-made environment.The level of eco-system security influences directly on the health and completeness of urban eco-system,as well as on the health of citizen and social economy.Xining is located in a fragile ecological environment of the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Xining is the only City that has a population more than one million for the plateau valley cities in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.According to city ecological security system theory,this article uses the conceptual model of "P-S-R", unifies the city ecological security characteristics,and builds the Xining city ecological security evaluation index system.This article uses the method that unify the level analysis and principal component analysis method to evaluate the city ecological security level of Xining for the year 2000-2007.For overall thought city ecological security overall level of Xining assumes the trend of escalation in 2000-2007 years.But the individual development co-ordination between the various targets and each growth rate of various targets in subsystem has a large difference.It reflects the city ecological security development and the response of Xining was still in a loan level.And the system has not yet reached self-regulation and coordination stage.In the view of this situation this article brings ways to improve the Xining ecological security level.It provides the effective management measures and the countermeasures for Xining to grasps the opportunity,enhances its strong points and avoids weaknesses in the age of developing that contains opportunity and challenge together.
