As the main structural and aspect part of modern industrial structure, plastic injection product has been used in large area. According to the complexity of injection molding process, defects, especially the weld lines are generally existed in products. As a common appearance defect, the existing of the weld lines will not only reduces the mechanical intensity but also affects the appearances of products. So, it is significant to study the way of decrease and eliminate weld lines.Heat-pump-upper is a main exterior part of water heater. Enormous weld lines in industrial production had seriously affected the quality and usage of heat-pump. In this paper, Moldflow software is used to simulate the filling and solidification process of the injection to ensure the weld lines' position. Base on the analysis results, the improved process parameters were given and simulated, after numerous adjusting and improving, the optimization process parameters were confirmed. Afterward, the injection experiment validated the simulation.The method that improving process through numerical simulation to decrease weld lines in the injection molding, which can reduce the period and cost of project development, has popular application and provides a basis for some relative researches and a further study.
