Activated carbon adsorption technology is environmental technology,which can be used gas of the power and smelter's plants.but it is at the stage of research,industrial application has not been universal.This technique's advantages are low investment,low operating costs and desulfurization completely,so it has broad prospect..This paper introduces the status of flue gas desulphurization technology at home and abroad and the trend of development and the theories of the mechanism of activated carbon desulfurization detailly,belives that the activated carbon desulfurization is the results of physical adsorption,chemical adsorption.the experimental studies the effective factors of the simulated flue gas and activated carbon removal of SO2 in the fixed bed of activated carbon desulfurization devices.The study find that the concentration of SO2 for the entrance 1000mg/m3,water vapor content of 8%,filler layer thickness of 10cm,the bed temperature at 30℃is the best desulfurization efficiency,the desulfurization efficiency of AC-NH3·H2O,AC-HNO3,AC-Cu(NO3)2 higher than ordinary activated carbon,in which AC-Cu(NO3)2 is the best.It play a role in the reference about activated carbon adsorption desulfurization that the theroretical and experimental study the SO2 adsorption.
