It is a tentative method for Ecological Ethic to search for its own theoretic foundations launching on the delimitation between Free Will and Moral Ought and the explanation of the ecological inevitable problems. The ecological crisis is not a natural but a man-made disaster according to those ecologists. The reason Man being a Man is that man can ponder the life meanings. It would be better to explore the causes of ecological disasters from the human being's essentialities and characteristics. Human beings would have an acceptation and an affirmation of dignity, right and obligation when they began to consider the Free Will. It would be reasonable from an aspect of ethical spirit that Free Will and Personal Selection are the precondition and the foundation in western countries. But there is a paradox between Free Will and Moral Ought, that is, Moral Ought whose foundation is Free Will should conquer Free Will in the same time, which is a reflection of anther paradox between individual and social reality. The selection of Moral Ought depends on the chance and the existence in a large scale and on the phrases of moral development in our real life. Free Will as a standard of Moral Ought is absolute and relative. The main-body of ecological ethic belongs to human beings, which enlarged the territory of morality to the whole nature and established the basic principle that what we did is not always we should do. It would be a value of ecological ethic based on human beings when we look the whole benefits as the highest benefits and we look the whole development as the ultimate aim. This present thesis can be divided into five parts. The introduction part mainly proposes the topic, states the research home and abroad, the basic ideas, methods and innovations. Chapter one focuses on the relationship between free will and moral"Ought", which paves the way to explain ecological ethics. Chapter two discuss the ecological field of moral"Ought", that is, the background, the development, the main branches, and basic viewpoint and the tendency of moral"Ought"of ecological ethics. Chapter three probes into the five basic principles by which ecological ethics"Ought"must abide. The last chapter is the closing, which is the overall statement of the whole thesis.
