The phthaloyl chloride is the essential monomer in the synthesis of polyamides, polyesters and poly(ether ketone)s and so on. The article synthesized two kinds of the monomer----- 9,10-anthraquinone-1,4-dibenzyl chloride and bis-(4-formyl chloride benzyl )-1,4-quinones(DCPPK). These monomers have novel structure. DCPPK and isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) were converted respectively into the novel polyamides with 4,4'-diaminodiphenylethane (DDM),4,4'-diaminodiphenylether (DDE),4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS); poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone ketone ketone)s /poly(ether sulfone ether ketone ketone)were synthesized DCPPK, terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) and 4,4'-bis(phenoxy) diphenyl sulfone(DPODPS) with DCPPK, terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) and 4,4'-bis(phenoxy) diphenyl sulfone(DPODPS) through low temperature solution polycomdensation. The follows are the main research comtents.1.2-(2',5'-dimethyl benzoyl)benzoic acid was synthesized by acylation reaction of toluene with a phthralic dichloride and p-Xylene in the presence of aluminum chloride .1,4-dimethyl anthraquinone was obtained through dehydration and ring closure reaction of 2-(2',5'-dimethyl benzoyl)benzoic acid with oleum. 1, 4-dimethyl anthraquinone was converted into 9, 10-anthraquinone-1,4-dibenzyl acid by the reaction with oxidation. 9, 10-anthraquinone-1,4-dibenzyl chloride was prepared by the reaction with thionyl chloride. The yield is 65.4%. The chemical structure of the compound was characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR .It was proved that the structure of the result-compound is in accordance with our design. DSC shows the melting point is 207-208OC and purity is higher.2. A novel compound bis-(4-formyl chloride benzyl )-1,4-quinones(DCPPK) was prepared by terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) and toluene through three steps. The chemical structure was characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR in detail. It was proved that the structure of the compound is in accordance with our design. DSC shows that it has high melting point and the compound is very pure. TCPPK can polycondense with 4,4ËŠ-diphenoxyldiphenylsulfone(DPODPS) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) at low temperature in the presence of AlCl3 and NMP to a novel series of random copolymers . 3.Three types of PA with high molecular weight was synthesized from 4,4'-diaminodiphenylethane (DDM),4,4'-diaminodiphenylether (DDE),4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) and DCPPK and IPC by low temperature solution polycondensation in N,N-Dimethyl acetamide. The polymer's properties and structure were investigated by FT-IR, WAXD, DSC, TG etc.4. A novel series of random copolymers composed of poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone )(PESEKK) / poly(aryl ether sulfone ether ketone ketone ketone ketone )(p-PESEKKK) were prepared by low temperature solution polycondensation of terephthaloyl chloride(TPC),4,4ËŠ-diphenoxyldiphenylsulfone(DPODPS) and bis-(4-formyl chloride benzyl )-1,4-quinones(DCPPK) in 1,2-dichloroethane with the presence of AlCl3 and NMP. The copolymers were characterized by FT-IR,DSC,WAXD,TG, etc. The results show that the polymers have high glass transition temperature, good thermostabilities and excellent solubilities.
