Study On Opening Transformation Of 2800 Hot Rough Rolling Mill

As the increasing range and geometry of the hot rolled products, the specifications of the hot rough rolling mill, especially its opening, should increase. The reformation of the existing hot rough rolling mill can save the available rolling mill resources, increase the rolling capacity of the hot rough rolling mill, improve the quality and range of products and enhance the market competition of products. Therefore the article studies the key technology of the opening increase based on the reformation needs of 2800 hot rough rolling mill. For raising the incoming material thickness of the rolling pieces and meeting the market requirements of product quality, it has quite important economic benefits and possesses practical value in engineering.Firstly, based on a comprehensive analysis about the existing structural style and geometry of the rolling mill, a main reformation technology line is proposed to reduce 100mm thickness of the cup-shaped pedestal of the rolling mill screwdown and an overall reformation design is performed to increase the opening of the rolling mill.Secondly, the size decrease of the cup-shaped pedestal must lead to the size changes of the related components in the rolling mill screwdown system the relative position change of the universal connection shaft and the rolls in the main drive system so as to influence such conditions as the operating safety of the equipment.Next, the article analyses and calculates the key components and parts by finite element method for the further verification of the reformation plan.At last, the field tests in different working conditions of the remanufactured rolling mill under the above plan obtains the maximum rolling torque and the torque amplifying coefficient and provide the reliable basis for practical production of the remanufactured rolling mill.At present, the remanufactured rolling mill has be in production with a preferable application results which indicate that the of the rolling mill opening increase not only saves a large amount of funds for the newly-purchased equipments but also improves the equipment capability in more obvious economic and social benefits.
