| As the development of modern technology, great extension has taken place in the welding form and a lot of new welding techniques have appeared. One-sided welding technology is a new highly effective and resource saving welding technique, which can guarantee the welding quality with reliability, improve welding efficiency and reduce welding cost. Among all the one-sided welding methods, the predominant methods are manual arc welding, CO2 gas shield arc welding and submerged arc welding.Submerged arc welding is one kind of important tradition welding methods, which is also one of the higher effective mechanized modern welding methods. For the thicker steel plates, welding can be accomplished by submerged arc-welding with both sides, but when one side of the plate was welded, the other face must be turned over in order to be welded. In such circumstances, steel plate's turns-over need certain time and at the same time waiting for the turn over of crown block or crane also requires time, which makes the welding efficiency of high effective submerged arc-welding to be discounted greatly. However, one-sided submerged arc-welding don't need to be turned over, which can achieve welding only by one face of the steel plates. This welding method can improve welding efficiency, moreover it possess a series of merit such as project pipelining, reduce of the requirement of workshop altitude and cut down the weight of crown block or crane which greatly reduce the cost.Compared with other one-sided submerged arc welding methods, one-sided submerged arc welding with ceramic backing has gained great development for the advantage of highly effective, good quality, low cost, which is a new welding method possessing sustained development and anticipating international trend.Research has been done on the ceramic backing used for one-sided submerged arc welding from the feature of one-sided submerged arc welding with ceramic backings and the preparation theory of ceramics. First the shaping theory of one-sided welding and ceramic backing used for one-sided welding was introduced as well as the characteristic of ceramic backings. Then the design principle of ceramic backings was described to determine their physical dimension and component; decide one optimum formula of ceramic backings by using prepare property of ceramic backings and shaping effect of back weld in the one-sided submerged arc welding experiment as evaluating indicator and orthogonal test; the preparation technique of ceramic backings, that is from raw materials treatment to the last assemble was introduced combined with the preparation theory of ceramics; the welding experiment of one-sided submerged arc welding with ceramic backings was recounted, through which we can understand the influence of welding technical parameters on the shaping of one-sided submerged arc welding with ceramic backings, and we can know the cause of deficiency and improve measures from analysis and discussion of different defects in the experiment. And last, the end result of the research was analyzed and conclusion was reached. |
