In this paper, studying the roof stress distribution, the collapse regularity of covered rock and the arrangement of gangue, which conclude that there is no O-Ring induced by mining in gob of steep coal seam, moreover, acquire the situation of gases flow in gob according to Darcy Theory.Considering the three zones over the gob, combining the practice in Yangou coal mine and analyzing the collapse regularity of roof in this face, find out the superseding length between tow drilling fields by calculation. Analyze the distribution and development of fracture by simulating roof which is under the pressure with RFPA. Construct the test drill holes in drilling field and analyze the concentration and the flow rate so that explore the area of gases aggregation. Obtain the hole parameter so as to drain the gases efficiently.
