The common amino-silicone oil was capped by polyurethane modified and a brand-new reactive finishing agent was prepared for improving the resilience and durability of water retardant which finished by common amino-silicone softener in this thesis. First, the isocyanate in diisocyanate (OCN-R-NCO) reacted with the active hydrogen of primary amine; second, the isocyanate was protected; third, the modified amino-silicone oil was emulsified. The protected isocyanate could release free isocyanate by the affection of temperature when we took pad-dry-cure technique, the isocyanate of high reaction could react with the hydroxy group (-OH) of cellulose and make the fabric excellent application's character. Also, this agent is environmental friendly and it has great application value.Amino-silicone oil was prepared ,which was modified by polyurethane by the design of molecular configuration. By a lot of experiments, the precuror of modified amino-silicone oil was got, then the isocyanate was protected by satisfied sodium hydrogn sulfite, after that the amino-silicone oil was modified by polyurethane structure was indeed exist through ultrared spectrum test. Finally, the polyurethane modified amino-silicone finishing agent was got by emulsifying with the compound emulsion. It showed the stability of this product from all kinds of physical and chemical character test. On the basis of polyurethane modified amino-silicone finishing agent, lots of experiments of application process was took out. After we took on single experiments and orthogoual experiment, thoptimum condition was confirmed. And then we applied the agent on the cotton fabric with the found condition, the results indicated that this brand-new product had a great effect contrasted with that of the conventional organo-silioxane softner. And after finished by modified amino-silicone oil and the rified 2D resin in one bath, durable press rating of fabric could be up to 4 grades, lower formaldehyde release and less fabric damage were available. Compared with other additives in permanent press, it has its own advantage.The result had a practical application in Advanced Chemicals Limited.
