| Recto-verso printing is a special method used in the book printing. So it is important to provide a color prediction of the recto-verso halftone print with a spectral reflectance model. The main aim of this paper is to establish the spectral reflectance model for recto-verso halftone print and find the key parameters which can be used to reduce the chromatics. Firstly, on the approximation that the ink is non-scattering and its refractive index is nearly equal to papers, we propose a spectral reflectance color prediction model for recto-verso halftone images by making use of the theory of the light propagation in paper with long and short distance model and net structure of multiple reflectances in the recto-verso halftone images. Secondly, new model is modified according to the Fresnel reflectance and the path in the print of the light depended on the incident angle. Lastly, the new model is modeled and computed by MATLAB. The new model provides the prediction of the color of recto-verso halftone images and the development of the on-line measure instrument with a theoretical method. |
