Polyethylene is one of the main materials for making polyethylene (PE) geomembrane, which is processed mainly by blow-molding technology. Dushanzi Petrochemical Corporation (DPC) produces various LLDPE and HDPE products by using Low Pressure Gaseous Fluidization Bed Technology developed by BP UK. This paper aimed on developing special material for polyethylene geomembrane production using blow-molding method by taking DPC polyethylene production as base materials.This paper summarized the development in polyethylene production and polyethylene modification in the world. Considering of the producing process and properties of PDC PE, this paper brings forward the technical indices of the special base materials for producing PE geomembrane.LLDPE0209 resin produced by using Ziegler catalyst was used as base material and mixed with HDPE resin produced with chrome catalyst to develop the special base materials for producing PE geomembrane. Basing on the application properties and the machining technics of PE geomembrane, this paper established the technological parameters and selected the base materials according to the producing process and properties of PDC PE. PDC Cr serial HDPE and modified LL0209 product was mixed in this paper and the properties of the modification materials were measured. The anti-aging properties of the special base material were investigated through adjusting the additives ratio. An established recipe according to the lab experiment results was validated in industry and geomembrane-used special material suitable for the demand of the consumers was developed.
