With the horizontal oil well production technology development, the horizontal producing profile well logging has become more and more important. Since the exactly measuring of the parameters of flowrate and water volume fraction always depends on the understanding of the flow pattern, the research on horizontal oil-water two-phase flow pattern has a significant application value.This paper has adopted the approach of Recurrence Plot Texture Analysis to make an investigation of the horizontal oil-water two-phase flow pattern. Firstly, it has been made a simulation of the entire structure and the detailed texture of the recurrence plot, so as to increase the comprehension of the recurrence plot; then there comes the processing the conductance fluctuate signal and impedance fluctuate signal in the dynamic experiment by Recurrence Analysis Method, and the analyzing of the processing result from the aspect of structure characteristics of the recurrence plot texture to identify the flow pattern.The final results of the research show that there exists a correspondence relationship between the recurrence plot texture structure and horizontal oil-water two-phase flow patterns, that is as followed(1) When the flux is low, there shows a segregated flow, of which the recurrence plot texture of ST flow pattern registers as a random single and isolated recurrence points, and there are two kinds of recurrence texture manifestation of the ST&MI flow pattern, namely random single and isolated recurrence points and the correspondence texture of oscillation alignment.(2) When the flux is moderate, there occurs in turn the Do/w&w/o flow pattern, ST&MI flow pattern and Do/w&w flow pattern as the increasing of water volume fraction. To be exact, the recurrence plot of ST&MI flow pattern still registers as a correspondence texture of oscillation alignment; Do/w&w/o flow pattern corresponds to a rather inerratic periodic recurrent texture; and Do/w&w flow pattern registers as random single and isolated recurrence points.(3) When the flux is high, there occur w/o and o/w dispersed flow patterns, of which the w/o flow pattern corresponds to the recurrence plot of single and isolated recurrence points, the corresponding recurrence plot of o/w flow pattern shows clear line structures, and hardly any single and isolated recurrence points. In conclusion, the structure characteristics of the recurrence plot texture could preferably show the changing of flow pattern, and the dynamic information of the recurrence plot texture structure corresponds to the inner flowing structure of the flow patter, and the recurrence plot could be considered as an effective indicator of the identification of the horizontal oil-water two-phase flow pattern.
