Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) is a main corrosion strain. In the corrosion process, SRB can accumulate on the surface of steel, and then accelerate biocorrosion. In order to control biocorrosion, preventing metal from SRB and its biofilm is very important. In this thesis, we hope to prepare an anti-bacteria coating to control SRB.Base on the anticorrosion coat, the new polymer quaternary ammonium salt was synthesized from epoxy phenolic resin via ring-opening reaction with aqueous solution of triethylamine hydrochloride, or adding the anti-bacteria agents into the anticorrosion coating. Using the two ways, preparing the Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria(SRB) anti-bacteria coat, and evaluating the anticorrosion property, mechanical properties and anti-bacteria property.Through the filtrating, the metronidazole anti-bacteria agent can be dispersed in the epoxy phenolic resin. The anti-bacteria coat including the metronidazole was prepared. The heat-resistanting property, anticorrosion property and mechanical properties were evaluated. The results showed that the coating have good properties. These coatings were exposed to SRB media for 3 monthes. And then, the samples were taken out for surface analysis. Comparing with the control sample, using the Scan Electronical Microscope (SEM) to observe the surface, we find that there is no biofilm on the surface of the former. The EPXA data show that the corrosion products are FeS of control sample. This expresses the results of corrosion is the SRB metabolizing results. For a word, the anti-bacteria coating which includes the metronidazole can prevent the SRB accumulating to the surface of the coating and growth.
