At present, many national and international scholars have done lots of correlative investigations to the distributing and transferring characteristic of minerals in coal., many models of the transferring mechanism of the included and excluded minerals have been set up. However, the coal is a kind of material with very complex composition, so the category of the minerals in coal distributed in different regions distinguish very greatly. Therefore, the objective of this research was to investigate experimentally the distributing and transferring characteristic of the minerals in the coal distributed in the western region of china .In order to investigate the transferring characteristic of the excluded minerals, four familiar kinds of minerals (Quartz, Pyrite, Calcite, Kaolinite ) in coal have been chose for this experiment. Granularity analysis has been investigated to the mineral powder and the ash powder of mineral combusted in the DTF, to find out the transferring characteristic of minerals macroscopically when it is combusting in high temperature by comparing the granularity transformation of minerals powder between which combust before the combustion and after the combustion, and validated by the computation which based on the fractal analysis theory. Otherwise, scan electrical mirror was used to analysis the mineral powder and the ash powder, to acquire the information of the shape transformation characteristic with the aggregation and fragmentation of the minerals microcosmicly .In order to investigate the distribution characteristic of mineral in coal , separating experiment of sinking and floating was carried out to acquire the coal sample of different density and the low-temperature ash of the sample was acquired by the low-temperature experiment. To compute the category and quantity distribution of element and minerals in low-temperature ash , experiment of XRF and XRD analysis was carried out .The result of the investigation indicate that the distribution of mineral and element in coal presents biggish un-symmetrical characteristic with the density diversification of coal. The model put forward by L'YAN was applied to set up for the ash ash formation. The simulation model of coalescence about included minerals adopt three coalescence mode. The computation of fragmentation about excluded minerals is based on the Poisson parameter simulated from the data of DTF experiment. In the assumption that included and excluded minerals can be distinguished by one density based on the low-temperature experiment, output data is acquired for the comparation with the experiment data. It is indicated that the result of simulation and experiment accord preferably, which the reliability of the model can be validated.
