Capillary electrophoresis(CE) has gained significant acceptance in the modern analytical laboratory. The efficiencies afforded by CE lead to high resolution separations with small sample volumes and short analysis times. The method has become one of the studied focuses in the area of analytical chemistry today. In addition, Chemiluminescence(CL) has become one of the focus in the area of analytical chemistry due to its advantages such as higher sensitivity, wider linear range, simpler instrumentation, versatility of use and the easy automation. CE-CL is a new approach with the high sensitivity and high selectivity for analyzing method and has become the most powerful technique in analytical chemistry. The research results obtained in the thesis are listed as follows:Ferrate(VI) is a kind of environment-friendly multi-functional"green chemical reagent"with the application and development prospect. Because of the oxidation of ferrate, it is newly used in analytical chemistry. Then, a new method by CE-ECL is established. As the post-capillary reagent, sodium ferrate(VI) was electrolyzed by stainless anode which directly in concentrated NaOH solution, while the oxidation was luminal. The intensity of luminescence was strong and would last a part of time. Based on the fact that 8-Hydroxyquinoline can catalyze the chemiluminescence reaction of luminol with sodium ferrate(VI), a novel CE-ECL method was developed for the determination of it. Under the optimum conditions, 8-Hydroxyquinoline was detected in less than six mintues. The detection limits(S/N) for 8-Hydroxyquinoline was 2.5×10-8mol/L.The RSD was 2.8%(n=6).The innovation of this experiment are: First, ferrate(VI) was electrolyzed under the mild condition; Second, Ferrate(VI) used in the area of analytical chemistry is originate in the world; Third, the result of the experiment is good by the equipment of CE-ECL.
