| Regarding the rivers water pollution prevention, water quality evaluation is the important basis. water quality evaluation is the massive material which obtains according to the monitor, makes the comprehensive to water quality evaluation. The pollutes degree of the water body can be judged by water quality evaluation,which is formulates the rivers water pollution prevention to provide the scientific basis. This paper mainly studied on the inspection methods for water quality analysis evaluation。New TongYang Canal is Taizhou's main rivers, which is influential role in The South to North Water, therefore it is important to studies the evaluation water pollution and its control for New TongYang Canal.Based on the YingJing bridge part of New TongYang Canal environmental and water course monitoring materials in 1997-2006 as data source, by means of statistics and analysis of those data, according to the water evaluation criterions for the surface water environmental quality that state published in 2002(GB3838-2002), using parameter on DO, potassium permanganate, BOD, NH3-N, petroleum, volatile hydroxybenzene, As, Cr and CN, this paper has studied the water pollution processes and controls of this part of New TongYang canal of The South to North Water in taizhou systematically and concluded as follows:1.Analyzed its changing trend with integrated pollution index and spearman rank correlation coefficient method.The analysis indicated the river pollution situation has the change for the better. Concentration of petroleum has an upward trend.2.Amount of ship has an upward trend in recent years.We analysed relation of concentration of petroleum and amount of ship of YingJing bridge part with linear correlation and regression analysis. 3. Now concentration of petroleum is being lower than the third class water standard, but it shows an upgrade tendency, the result showed that they had cbvious concentration,and the methods of New TongYang canal water pollution control have been suggested.
