Investigation Of Casing Drilling Technology And Applying At Jilin Oil Field

Casing drilling technology is defined as directly delivering mechanical and hydraulic energy downhole with casing, running casing in the drilling process, and remaining casing as drill string in the hole for completion after drilling ends. The casing drilling technology combines drilling and casing running as a whole process of operation. It saves a lot of operation that conventional well would be needed, such as drifting and casing running. So compared with conventional well, casing drilling can reduce the drilling cycle, and has demonstrated the ability to further reduce drilling costs.The research of this paper is closely related with present drilling equipment of oil fields and the technical requirements of oil reservoir. Aiming at low-formation development well drilling of Jilin oil field, the project bases on present drilling equipments. And several main researches have been done with desired achievements as follows: study on low-friction drilling fluid system, optimization of drilling bit and drilling parameters, technical research on cementing quality improvement, development of casing grip head and bit dropout-screwing device, research on torque bearing technology of casing screw thread and the logging method on the identification of oil-bering formation and aquifer after casing running, etc.In-situ test has been executed on 11 wells. By filed test on the 11 wells with two kinds of casing of different sizes, the full well casing drilling technology involved within 1200 meters is realized. So the technology is qualified for extended application, and 11 patents have been obtained. The investigated and developed technology-full well casing drilling, has been originally utilized for domestic filed test, which gains great achievements in shortening drilling cycle time and yields casing drilling technology with independent property right.After one stroke Casing drilling technology has been spread, collar piping drilling and multi-row drilling has been researched .By the study of a series of critical technologies, also the research and development of some special tools, we develop a way of new collar piping drilling and achieve the expected effect on the research of the multi-row drilling .
