A Study On Developing Difficult Recoverable Reserve Of The Heavy Oil Reservoir By Horizontal Well Technology

This project is about using horizontal well technology to develop the heavy oil reservoir with difficult recoverable reserve. During year2003-2004,it begin to drill prior horizontal well in LIAOHE oil fields, after year 2005,horizontal well in batches were drilled ,some wells were given a summary of implementing effect . So the objective of the project is to integrate all previous result with analysis of horizontal well drilled in the recent three years , find rules of using horizontal well to develop this kind of heavy oil fields, improve oil fields recovery ratio.During the study, by using filter of horizontal well on thermal oil recovery, fine reservoir research and geology modeling, reservoir engineer design and geology design, adjusting with drilling, logging evaluation and reservoir inversion, with production dynamic analysis, it can find the distributing rule of remaining oil and support to develop this difficult recoverable reserves by the horizontal well. the following mainly result are obtained.1. In the edge of main reservoir with edge and bottom water, the difficult recoverable reserves lies in Leng41 block,Leng42 block,Qi40 block etc. six blocks, it is estimated that total oil containing area is 4.67 square kilometers ,original oil in place is 1300×10~4t, now it is planning to dispose horizontal well.2. In the area of developed thin bed heavy oil fields, Some reserves are difficult to exploit by drilling vertical well, it is estimated that total oil containing area is 54.18 square kilometers ,original oil in place is 7096×10~4t, now it is planning to dispose 3-5 evaluation horizontal wells, 15-20 development horizontal wells, draw up on reserves 2400×10~4t.3. Though study on this project, it classify the difficult recoverable heavy oil reserves. The two kind of heavy oil reservoirs as thick or lumpish main reservoir with edge or bottom water and thin bed reservoirs are developed respectively by horizontal wells.4. On the base of reservoir adaptive research,fine reservoir description research,reservoir engineer and geology design reseach , It can achieve a standard technology of developing the two kinds of reservoirs by using horizontal well.
