Appliance Of MEG Drilling Fluid System In Da Qing Oil Field

The technic of the horizontal well is one of the most important technic in prospection and exploitation of petroleum resources at the present age. The technic of drilling fluid for horizontal well ,one of the important part of the technic of the horizontal well,has gained development,too. The weakness of the water-base drilling fluid has been overcome along with the development of the new additive for drilling fluid,which can satisfy basically the need of the common horizontal well.It is the main reason of the decreasing of the applying of the oil-base drilling fluid.MEG drilling fluid is a new-style drilling fluid,the performances of which excel evidently the others. The drilling fluid can form a bed of semipermeable membranes,restrain the hydration and expanse of the clay,possess preferable lubricity,and it is innocuous and degradable. The drilling fluid have a good effect of protect storage of petroleum. The drilling fluid can solve the toxicity,lubricity,stability of the borehole wall,and protection of the storage of petroleum.According to the principle of choosing drilling fluid and request of performance of the drilling fluid of the horizontal well ,this paper study the MEG drilling fluid for horizontal well in iaqing oilfield by analyzing the application of domestic and foreign water-base drilling fluid.We developed MEG drilling fluid in laboratory ,and confirmed the standard formula,and evaluated the restrainability,lubrication,floatability, higher thermal stabilityc and protection of the storage of petroleum.What is more important, MEG drilling fluid is innoxious and biodegradable,which entirely resolve the problem of environmental pollution.And MEG drilling fluid is free of aromatic compound and does not disturb geological logging.Furthermore the cost of MEG drilling fluid is only about one-third of oil-base drilling fluid.So MEG drilling fluid can replace oil-base drilling fluid,which will apply and extend in Daqing Oilfield.
