SaZhong oil field has entered into ultrahigh water cut production period for more than forty year's development, resulting in water out extent and thickness increased respectively and residual oil decreased as well as residual oil distribution scattered, which makes the oil field development become more difficult. Meanwhile, the different geological factors have also been changed by water flood for so long term. The development area of water injection is now facing great challenge in producing more oil and less water. Therefore, it is necessary to accomplish water injection with fine layer classification to develop more residual oil, control water cut rise and reduce decline rate of water drive.On the basis of fine reservoir research, the paper, with well test logging, numerical simulation, production data monitoring and other ways, makes the analysis on water out thickness and recovering rate of the layers and the pressure differences among the intervals. The fine reservoir research results have been used here to complete the classification of the layers and individual well, and the development discipline of water injection with fine layer classification by dynamic analysis method is also presented. With tracer logging technology, the paper explains recovering characteristics of water flood; and the numerical simulation technology has been used to predict the amounts of fine classified intervals and the sub-layer amounts within the intervals. The injection string for water injection with fine layer classification and its matching technologies have been applied in the field, which can be evaluated from field test results. The studies, suitable for water injection with fine layer classification at ultrahigh water cut stage, optimize the criteria for the well and layer selection, offer the basis for determining interval properties and evaluate the application results, which has great significance on oil field development and analysis and project design of water flood during the late development period with ultrahigh water cut.
