It has been very popular for the application of Chemical Process Simulation technique. It is used in the study and development of product, design of process, management of production process, furthermore, it is used in the management and optimization of utilities and the production business. It includes not only steady stimulation but also dynamic stimulation. It can optimize a process in many ways, offline, online, real time, closed loop, stimulation and optimization. It owns not only separated independent stimulation and optimization but also integrated one which includes molecule stimulation and facility unit simulation, plant stimulation, factory stimulation as well as society stimulation.The popularity of process stimulation is due to its effect to improve the production optimization. This paper set up the model of CDU/VDU by the process simulation platform-Aspen Plus. By the stimulation of the model, the evaluation of unit operation and capacity, the analysis of key operation parameter, the improvement of unit operation, the calculation of key facilities and the recognition of bottleneck are achieved. At the same time, it can give optimization solution strategy for the current problems in the unit.
