A new three dimension multi-phase and multi-component simulator of cross-linked polymer has been developed based on a chemical flooding simulator, which provides a useful method and tool for the related research. It takes some physical and chemical phenomena of profile modification and flooding into consideration and establishes the related equations. Such as the concentration of cross-linking agents and polymer, the ratio of polymer and cross-linking concentration, salinity, shearing action, aging time of cross-linker, PH value, etc. The mathematical description and model of polymer and cross-linker is emphatically studied.The solution technique of numerical model is that pressure equation and polymer concentration are solved implicitly and saturations are solved explicitly. According to the mathematical model, simulator of linked-polymer has been developed which can be used for production predicting of water flooding, polymer flooding, profile modification and displacement of linked-polymer, and profile modification and blocking. It is proved to be valid and reliable by calculated data. At last, in order to obtain the maximal interest, we use Genetic Algorithm to optimize the injection rate and concentrations of cross-linking agents and polymer.
