| Because of vast application foreground and complex grinding process of engineering ceramics, the grinding process is required to be understood completely and deeply. And the simulation technology provides an important tool to describe grinding circuit completely and systematically. So simulating and modeling of grinding process for engineering ceramics have a well developing foreground. In view of the above aspects and less reports and researches in the field of processing simulation for the engineering ceramics the question of simulation system platform in engineering ceramic grinding was presented.On analysis grinding properties of engineering ceramics and the function requests of the system, a general design method was given. The framework, modular structure, behave flow were illustrated in detail, so the schema configuration of the software was determinated. Abandoning traditional modeling method's shotcoming and making use of the nonlinear mapping ability of artificial neural network, a prediction model of grinding force and surface roughness was built. And as the core and basis of system function, the model had well precision through test. A grinding database was established as the system's fundamental support, the developing process of which was depicted. The simulation system's software platform was built, and the MDI method was adopted to design the interactive interface. Interface between the software and external programme was provided in order to realize dynamic data exchange.A utility software platform for simulation system in engineering ceramics grinding was established preliminarily. The grinding properties(such as grinding force) during the whole grinding circulation and surface quantity(surface roughness) could be predicted by setting kinds of processing parameters and workmanship conditions and going around the emulation programme of grinding model. The practical application of the simulating system could provide technical support for precision grinding of senior engineering ceramics. |
