| The impregnation technology is widely used to remedy the inside flaws, i.e. internal porosity and gas holes of the castings, to improve the casting performance, and advance the rate of acceptable cast products. The study on the automated impregnating system and impregnation technology are carried out in this paper.Firstly, the development and the usage of the automated impregnating system were enunciated, researched the method of impregnation system, penetrating agents, and the penetrating process, then the overall design of the impregnating system was come into being, the technology requirement of the frequency, process, and the distribution of the automated impregnating system production line were put forward. The structure and the principle of the machine equipment and the pipe system were designed successfully. Secondly, equipment faults in taking off the liquid are studied and the fault tree of the system is constructed by using FTA methods. Then the qualitative analysis of the tree is carried out, the factors affecting equipment reliability are discovered, and measured to enhance the equipment's reliability. Though the analysis of the FTA, finding the minimal cuts set, the fault model of the penetrating machine was found and the improvement methods of the penetrating machine were introduced. Finally, main achievements of this paper were summarized. |
