The thesis includes the following four sections:1. The history about the development of Gas Chromatography and Chromatographic properties of capillaries columns is reviewed briefly. TThen, The development of gas chromatography (GC) and preparation of the fused-silica capillaries were described. The applications of the calixarene derivatives used as the stationary phase were summarized. The application of GC in environment monitoring was presented.2. The inner surface of the capillaries was roughened by precipitating sodium chloride suspension. The coloums were coated with polar, weakly polar, and non-polar stationary phase in static method, respectively. 3. Three calixarene phosphate derivatives with functional groups were used as capillary GC stationary phases. The separation properties of these calixarene phosphate derivatives were investigated, showing that they all possess good filmformig properties and fine separation abilities to benzene isomers. The results also indicate that many factors, including substituted groups, the polarity, the size and p-p interactios, played important roles in the separation of positional isomers.4. The separation of benzols in Sizing agent sample had been carried out on mixed stationary phases. The experimental results showed that this method is a simple, rapid, sensitive method and it is very useful.
