To reduce the equipments' weight, the part in many equipments is usually designed as a thin web with cross inner ribs. Usually the processing methods of the rib-web part are casting, numerical control machining,or welding. There exists some problems in using these methods, such as: lower material utilization rate, higher processing cost and products poor mechanical properties.Based on the analysis to the forming technology requirement of the cylinder-shaped parts with intracavity gluten, wedge mechanism was used to forming the parts, mainly did the numerical simulation of the forming process and also did the experiment research.Applying software Marc/Superform, the finite element model was made by finite element theory. Based on the main problem of the plastic forming to the rib-web part, several forming schemes were simulated, and also analysis the different filling methodes of the rib-web. The simulation analysis came up with the rule of metal flowing and the distribution of stress and strain are obtained, the force-stroke curve is drawn. On the basis , the deformation velocity , deformation temperature and friction condition effect on the metal flowing , equivalent stress , equivalent strain ,forming quality and forming force of the cylinder-shaped parts with intracavity gluten is studied. We obtained that it is beneficial to forming when the extrusion temperature is 460℃, the extrusion speed is 5mm/s, and the reasonable forming process parameters are achieved at last.According to the result of the simulation analysis, reasonably forming process of aluminum alloy cylinder-shaped parts with intracavity gluten was used to complete the experiment. The result shows that the experiment result is in concordance with the simulation result. The numerical simulation research of the forming process about flat gulten parts and aluminum alloy cylinder-shaped parts with intracavity gluten, it can help us knowing the metal flowing situation during the forming process, so as to provide theoretical basis to the related designing parametersdetermination,it also can verify the determined mould and the shape and size of the preformed billet is right or wrong. Thus the product manufacturing can realize more scientific and more economic. At last, it has a guiding role to the practical production.
