| A certain wheel hub was made by caststeel, and the wheel hub was overweight. Go with the wheel hub cast process, defect of cast method was came out. The performance of the car which use the wheel hub was fall. This paper focus on the problem during wheel hub process, and develop research in process of aluminum alloy wheel hub.Follow the request of wheel hub mechanics and application environment, chosen 7A04 aluminum alloy to produce wheel hub. Discuss the parameters of 7A04 extrusion forming process and heat treatment criterion of 7A04 aluminum alloy. The wheel hub in this paper belong to kind of wide flange trapezoidal and thick edge barrel figure part. Combine with the wheel hub figure and 7A04 aluminum alloy forming process characteristics, drawing of the aluminum alloy wheel hub was be designed.The process of aluminum wheel hub was simulated. on base of numerical simulation during backward extrusion forming phase, we chosen the best size of material. We analyzed influence under different friction coefficient during backward extrusion forming phase. During shaping phase, after analyzed about alloy flow influence use different expanding part and mold transition angle, we make sure the important process parameter, also improved the process of forming and mold structure .Established aluminum alloy wheel hub process: backward extrusion froming, expanding, shaping.The process parameter of aluminum alloy wheel hub and wheel hub mold design were reasonable as been show in result of the experiment. We made the wheel hub successful could show us that the process afford a right way to make similar figure parts. The tensile strength of 7A04 aluminum alloy wheel hub attain 610~615Mpa and the yield strength attain 550~560MPa, both of performance better than caststeel wheel hub. Comparing with caststeel wheel hub ,aluminum alloy hub reduce weight from 31Kg to 11.3Kg (weight reduction 63.5%). The performance of aluminum wheel hub attain the goal what we want, and competent in real life. |
