So exact acquisition of its explosion mechanism is very necessary.The paper summarizes domestic and overseas actualities of chlorine dioxide gas, discusses its preparation method and concentration detectability technology. On this basis, explosive parameters mainly including explosion limit and pressure are studied through experimental device of ignited gas and pressured electricity testing system.The lower explosion limit of chlorine dioxide gas is 9.5% (volume percentage) and no upper explosion limit; the most explosion pressure is 0.6406MPa when concentration is 90%; explosion pressure changes with its concentration according to experiments. Appearance of the most explosion pressure time decreases with concentration.Explosion characteristics study of chlorine dioxide gas provide academic according and reference data for production and use of chlorine dioxide.
