Quality test standards for rosin and its modified products were introduced in this paper,meanwhile,test methods and research situation for major technical requirements of rosin and its modified products,such as color,acid number, resin acid and metal ion content were summarized,and it was suggested that the test methods of resin acid and metal ion content should be added in relevant standards as well.Rosin and its modified products are essential industrial products and daily chemicals,which are divided into food grade and industrial grade.At present,it's the global trend and hot point that people should focus on food safety,advocation for environmental friendly production and try to avoid harm from metallic ions.To sum up,it is important to carry out this study for science and practice.The method for detecting the content of the trace metallic ion in rosin and its modified products was investigated,and the experimental procedure and the method for pretreatment were determined,the mixing standard solution of Fe, Cu,Zn,Al,Pb,Ni,as well as standard solutions of Pb,Fe,and Zn were prepared.The contents of trace elements of Fe,Al,Zn,Cu,Pb,Ni and Pd in the rosin and its modified products were determined by ICP—AES,and the sample was pretreated by the dry ashing method.The optimal conditions have been obtained as follows:RF power 1300W,the flow rate of atomizer 0.70L/min, sample uptake 2.00mL/min,the flow rate of auxiliary gas 0.20L/min,and plasma flow rate 15L/min.The detection limits were 0.0002—0.006mg/L,and the recovery rates were 90.81%—102.92%,the relative standard deviation was less than 1.05%.This method proved to be simple,rapid,accurate,less environment contamination,could determine many elements simultaneously, and some points for attention were also proposed in analysis and test.
