Aiming at the shortcomings of ordinary resins,such as the poor flame retardancy and weather resistance,as well as the conditions of bad weather resistance and serious photoaging in coating industry,combining the low surface activity,high heat resistance,high chemical stability and other unparalleled advantages of the fluorinated compounds,this paper choosed three perfluorinated surfactants as raw materials reacting with silane coupling agent,alkyl ketene dimer,diamine and dianhydride respectively in solutions and synthesized four kinds of surface modifiers containing fluorine(perfluorosulfonyl keto ester surface modifier(A),perfluorooctyl sulfonyl keto-acid ester modified polyimide surface modifier(B),perfluoroquianol modified polyimide surface modifier(C),perfluorosulfonyl amino silane surface modifier(D)).Though the FT-IR spectroscopy and all kinds of tests and characterizations of the products,the reaction mechanisms and the optimal conditions of synthesis were analysed and determined and the physico-chemical properties of the products,such as hydrophobic properties,solubilities and melting points were analysed and discussed.The results show that the four surface modifiers containing fluorine all possess excellent hydrophobic properties and good solubilities.Epoxy resin was choosen as the modified matrix and compounded with the four synthetical surface modifiers containing fluorine(A,B,C,D)to obtain the complexes of surface modifiers containing fluorine/epoxy resin in different types and contents. The modification effects of the surface modifiers containing fluorine were evaluated via the tests of the surface hydrophobic properties and the gloss reductions before and after 3000h UV aging tests of the complexes and the mechanisms of the aging of epoxy resin and the anti-aging of the surface modifiers containing fluorine were explored.The influence to the mechanical properties of the matrix was disscused via the mechanical properties tests of the complexes when the excellent surface properties were endowed by surface modifiers containing fluorine in surface modification of materials.The results show that the four surface modifiers containing fluorine can endow epoxy resin with excellent surface hydrophobic and anti-aging properties on the basis of not changing its mechanical properties.The four surface modifiers containing fluorine(A,B,C,D)designed and synthesized in this paper can lead the migration,pervasion and surface enrichment of surface modifiers to obtain the higher efficiency as the role of the traction head of the perfluorocarbon chain.With epoxy resin for example,a small addition amount in polymer processing can generate significant surface modification effects.The process to achieve the surface modification is very simple and has a wide range of application via direct mixing and copolymerization by adding a small amount of surface modifiers containing fluorine in polymer processing,which endows the excellent surface performances on the basis of not changing the mechanical properties of polymers themselves and is expected to apply in polymer modification systems.
