Large quantities of tubing are needed home and abroad at present; most manufacturers are trying their best to produce more. The CNC lathe QK1312 is a relatively typical domestic CNC machine used for manufacturing tubing thread, which is widely used by a number of subsidiary tubing producing factories of our Country. It plays an important role in promoting tubing home making and export, but it has some practical problems, as it is equipped with Japanese-imported Mitsubishi numerical control system. If it has some problem in hardware, such as remote I/O unit, AC servo motor, users usually can't analyze and repair the fault by themselves, they have to send the failed parts back for repairing or buy new parts, which need to stop working and wait for the parts for a long time. At the same time, users can't analyze and repair common faults in time. These problems above seriously affect the normal operation of the production. Therefore, it is of great significance to deal with those problems for reducing lathe's failure down time, stabilizing lathe's producing capability and guarantying factory production task. The essay collects and investigates on-site failure examples firstly, then analyzes the faults, repairs it, examines the effects on the lathe. Firstly, the essay brings forward in-circuit fault static examine scheme which is feasible for on-line seeking for failures for I/O unit, introducing fault analysis and repairing methods, then gradually reducing the failure scope, locating the failure on a component in the end. All of these make true for users to analyze machine fault and repair it independently. Then the essay searches for actuating motor's fault and analyzes it, identifies the hidden failures, and describes the fault analysis and repair methods in detail. The essay also improves the structure of motor supporting base to realize the fault and repair it independently in order to eliminate the hidden troubles. The research reduces the machine down time and saves factory's purchasing investment greatly. In the end the essay introduces the common fault analyzing and repairing methods, skills and attentions that has important reference value and economic significance for increasing fault repairing efficiency and accuracy.
