By using the basic mechanical properties of composite materials, elastic characteristics of laminate and basic theory of cylindrical shells, bonding strength criteria and finite element theory of composite materials to study the theory of stress, strain, displacement, failure of composite material conical shell on axial compression condition. And to design and verification the composite material conical shell.According the known Al alloy model, using the finite element method software ANSYS to get the largest load capacity and the greatest stress, strain, displacement and dangerous position on the known Al alloy material condition. And bring forward the design requirements and targets.Use classical laminate theory to design the matrix material, reinforced material and the method of lay of composite material conical shell on the condition of meeting the largest load. Calculate the equivalent stiffness and elastic modulus of the longitudinal and meet the design requirements. Use PRO/E software for modeling the model. Use ANSYS software for parameter setting. To get the displacement, stress and strain by using the FEM software ANSYS to establish, mesh, load, restrict and solve the model. And get the result that it meet the design requirements.Get the stress, strain, displacement by using ANSYS on the condition of node force. And get the result it satisfy the design requirementsUnder the enough strength it can get the best intensity design by using finite element method to calculate the kinds of layer stacking. The better design can lighten the shell, the design not only reduces the cost but also shortening the design cycle.
