The main research in this thesis is the spray type air washer room in the air conditioning system, which plays a very important role in textile mill. The efficiency of heat and mass transfer is studied when air is through the air washer room especially the velocity of air increased.Air washer room is a traditional air handling unit with big conformation and low air velocity. Efficiency of heat and mass transfer is used to evaluate the characteristics of the spray washer and is affected by many factors. In this thesis, the influence of air velocity on the efficiency of heat and mass transfer is studied from several aspects, such as theoretical analysis, the full-heat exchanging model of water-air system is utilized in the study of air washer system. The mathematical model is established and solved. According to the orthogonal test, the influences of the air velocity on the two efficiencies of heat-exchange are confirmed. Two typical heat and mass transfer processes, the cooling dehumidification and the isenthalpic humidification in air washer are fully studied based on the experiments. According to the analysis of the experimental data, the influences of the air velocity on the efficiency of heat and mass transfer are summarized. Then, Actual measurement and calculation of the two typical processes in air washer with high air velocity are carried out in the engineering of the textile mill. The results are also analyzed compared with those of spray chamber with low air velocity. The economy analysis of air washer with high air velocity and comparison with the traditional air washer with low air velocity are completed based on the spray type air washer in textile mill with 110,000 cotton ingots in Tianjin. The analysis shows that the spray type air washer with high air velocity could not only accomplish the cooling dehumidification and the isenthalpic humidification process well but also increase the efficiency of heat and mass transfer. The results show that high air velocity in the air washer room will cause the reduction of the floor area for equipment room and energy consumption. So the air washer with high air velocity is high efficiency, energy saving and optimal land utilization.This research will offer reliable technique data for the consumers and manufactures of the air conditioning system with spray type air washer of high air velocity. It will benefit the improvement and application of the air conditioning system with spray type air washer of high air velocity.
