Ruthenium complexes, RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3, have been found to catalyze the addition of ortho C–H bonds of aromatic ketones to olefins with a high degree of efficiency and selectivity. buta-2,3-dienoic acid benzyl ester, diethyl 2,2-di(prop -2-ynyl)malonate, benzhydrylidenecyclopane compounds are very important intermed -iates in organic synthesis,RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3, buta-2,3-dienoic acid benzyl ester, diethyl 2,2-di(prop-2- ynyl)malonate, benzhydrylidenecyclopane have been synthesized. The triethoxyvi- nylsilane react with various aromatic ketones to give 1:1 or 1:2 coupling products in high yields. The reactions of buta-2,3-dienoic acid benzyl ester, diethyl 2,2-di(prop -2-ynyl)malonate and benzhydrylidenecyclopane with presence of RuH2(CO)(PPh3)3 have been studied.
