| The separation process is important in chemical, petrochemical, medical, biochemical industries. The azeotropic mixture cannot be separated by traditional distillation. But extractive distillation can be valid for them. This paper summarizes the principle and choice of the extractive solvent, and the research progress, application of benzene and thiophene in recent years. The continuous extractive distillation experiment to separate benzene and thiophene was carried out with N-methylprolinodone (NMP) as extractive solvent in this paper. The effect of operation parameter of reflux ratio on the separation had been studied. Then, the isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium datas of Benzene+Thiophene and the ternary mixtures of Benzene + Thiophene + N-Methyl-2-prolindone (NMP) were measured by using a CE-2 vapor–liquid equilibrium still. The results have supplemented the VLE datas of Benzene+ Thiophene + NMP. And they were significant to the actual process with NMP as the solvent. |
