| Purified Terephthalic Acid( called PTA in short ) is raw material for polyester fiber and PET production.PTA production is increasing in years because of the enlarging demand for the product in domestic market. Along with the development of modern waste water treatment, PTA waste water treatment process progressed from anaerobic to aerobic period gradually.Waste water coming from PTA of TPCC (Tianjin petrochemical company) normally has COD concentration of 3000~4500mg/L actually, when upstream having accidents or modification, COD concentration can be as high as 5000~8000mg/L, this does not meet volumetric loading requirements of units. It can only meets requirements by waste TA residue arranging high concentration waste water. This article chooses PTA waste water from Aromatic Division of Tianjin petrochemical company as the object to study actual treatment effectiveness on PTA waste water with the up-flow anaerobic filtering process, intending to make clear the basic pattern of PTA waste water anaerobic reaction, and to accumulate experience for constructing and operating AF production unit.This article deals mainly with culturing and domestication of mud. After culturing and domestication, anaerobic mud changes from floating status when inoculation to adhesion status fixing on the surface of the packing, so the culturing of organism membrane is realized. Upon our study on the startup and operation process and analysis on process control factors, the result shows that anaerobic AF treatment process can meet the requirements of PTA waste water treatment, CODcr stable removal ratio to be 65%, peak removal ratio to be 70%, volumetric loading 4.0kgCOD/m3d. AF anaerobic process's power consumption is only 16% of aerobic process when treatment ration as 250m3/h and for the present condition of PTA waster water's quality and quantity. Anaerobic treatment process can reduce the capacity of subsequent aerobic unit effectively, and increase the stability of the whole waste water treatment system. At the same time, anaerobic treatment can remove the complicated organic substances and heavy metal in waste water effectively, and cut down the difficulty of waste water treatment and reuse greatly.Anaebrobic filtering process saves energy, resolves environmental pollution problems, and creates good economic and social benefits. So the process has brillant application future. |
